Dragon Ball Super : Beerus
October 2026 will be the world wide launch of the “latest” Dragon Ball Anime. I say latest, it’s actually another incarnation of the Dragon Ball Super manga.
- Dragon Ball: Battle of Gods was back in 2013
- The Manga series started in 2015 which started with the same story as Battle of Gods and evolved into Dragon Ball Super.
- The anime which also retold the story of Battle of gods and continued on afterwards started in 2015 also, although the first few episodes were a bit rushed and had some very flawed animation and some episodes were again rereleased with updated artwork.
- Now we have Dragon Ball Super: Beerus which looks like yet another take on the Battle of Gods anime.
From the trailers it looks like Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will hopefully be the final masterpiece version of the story. Hopefully it will be similar to the remastered version of Dragon Ball Z Kai where they took out the filler and kept the story fast paced and closer to original Manga source material.
The Dragon Ball Super Manga is still in print currently at volume 24 and has some really exceptional story telling, It has some of the best action scenes, universe wide threats and a whole cast of new characters which could have held a story on their own. It was total fan service from start to end.
What can the latest version of Beerus’s story tell us that we haven’t already seen, I’m not sure but I hope this is a turning point in which will take its time and bring out the full potential of the manga.
